Who are we?
ABAbility is a specialized team focused on ABA intervention for individuals with ASD and learning difficulties, founded by Carlos Pérez Sánchez, a psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Our mission is to enhance the skills and autonomy of our learners through scientifically proven interventions tailored to their individual needs and changing environments.
ABAbility was born from the idea that all intervention skills can only be developed through the principles of learning within Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), committing ourselves to progress through scientific evidence.
The Origin of ABAbility
Carlos Pérez, founder of ABAbility, is a psychologist with certifications as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA), and International Behavior Analyst (IBA).
With extensive experience in working with individuals with ASD and other developmental disorders, Carlos has worked with a wide range of profiles, from children to adults, customizing each intervention to the unique needs of his learners.
Our Approach:
At ABAbility, we believe in an evidence-based approach, using ABA to guide our interventions. We focus on individualized goals, conducting methodical analyses of progress and challenges to ensure that our learners not only learn but enjoy the process. Our priority is to create an environment where each person feels supported and motivated to exceed their own limits.
Our Services:
At ABAbility, we offer a variety of services designed to meet the individual needs of each learner. Interventions include work on verbal behavior, using alternative communication systems when required, such as sign language, PECS, or assistive technologies like Proloquo2Go, LetMeTalk, or AstericsGrid.
Each program is tailored to the person’s skill level and age, ensuring they receive the necessary support to progress.
In addition to direct interventions, ABAbility provides professional consultation for colleagues and other professionals seeking to improve their ABA skills. This service is designed for those looking for guidance in implementing ABA or needing supervision to ensure the quality of their practices.
ABAbility also offers practice supervision for professionals and graduates who wish to gain experience working with individuals with ASD and other learning difficulties. Through this program, practitioners can gain firsthand experience applying ABA principles in a real-world setting, under the direct supervision of the team.
